Hey yall!
Happy New Year! We maide it into 2010!!! Millions didn't make it, as the Winans so accurately penned, but I was one of the ones who did!!!!
2009 brought many challenges. Many!!!! But God has been so awesome and brought me out of them all as His word promises in Psalm 34:19. Just gonna do small recap of my year for ya!
No dog. Rusty is gone and has been gone since 6/14/09. He is in a good home and is being well taken care of. The summer got him, big time, and he couldn't handle it. Thanks, Korie, for taking care of my Four Legs One Tail--as he is affectionately called around here. I miss Rusty, but I'm happy for him. God knows, and has done, what is best.
Accidents? Say two! One in May and another in November. My testimony is, once again, "Satan thought he had me; but Jesus came and grabbed me; God kept me; and He wouldn't let go." (Kirk Carr) Forst accident, we went over a median, into the air and hit a light post, and came back down. The front end of the car was gone. The EMT said that if I would have been sitting in the front of the car, I would have been dead. I came out with a fractured nose. There went our 2005 Malibu.
In November, my sister had come to get me from work. A big huge truck hit us and knocked us into another truck. The car was demolished, but we walked away. God sho' 'nuff is good.
Married? Yes indeed! Still married and God is moving mightily. You know why? Cuz He's changing me!!!! Yes, he's changing Chris, and I'm excited!!! But God is changing me--and you have no idea how deep and exciting this is to watch!!! We're doing well!!!
Family? Hey now! My mommy has been healed of cancer this year! Thank God for her rock solid faith, the healing pwer of God, her absolutely awesome friends and prayer partners, and God's Word. She's doing well. She's finishing up her radiation this month!!!!
Nikka? I love that girl. And yes! God is moving!!!
Church? My husband and I are finally in the same church at the same time! And we both love it!!! In July, we started going to Abundance in Truth. It is a ministry that is spirit-filled and the power of God moves mightily in and out of that place!!! We have awesome leaders whom, we know, pray for us constantly. Both of us are growing leaps and bounds in our new home. I knew at the beginning of the year that things would change, but I didn't know where I was going. That was scary, but I chose to follow God.
I met Pastors Freddie and Anita Scott at a night of revival where I was playing. In continually talking to Pastor Anita, I knew this was a relationship that I needed to hold on to. And I did! I love being close to my leaders--not for position's sake. I love communicating with them and having them speak directly and truthfully into my life! These saints have prayed our marriage through. They have counseled us both. And they have loved us, both together and individually, back to life itself. We love yall.
It is absolutely awesome too to have the entire family there. That's right--we all are there together!!! God is sooooooooo good!
It truly is a joy to go into the house of the Lord. To have my faith exploding, awaiting to see what God is going to do. That's why David penned the verse that says in Psalm 122:1 "I was glad when they said unto me, let us go into the house of the Lord."
I believe that we truly should be excited about going to church--the house of the Lord. No service should be the same. Every time the people of God get together, someone should be getting delivered, set free, healed, made whole... This is supposed to be a time where dead and drained batteries become charged and ready to work and kick devil but while glorifying Jesus!!! Ok. Enough of my soapbox preaching.
